What it covers

A bathroom looks small until you take it out. The bath, the basin and the toilet are the easy part. Behind them are the tiles, the adhesive, the boxing round the pipes, the old shower tray and the screen, the cabinet, the floor covering and sometimes a second layer of floor under that, and all of it is heavy, sharp and awkward to get down the stairs. A bathroom strip out does that part of the job before the fitter arrives. Once your plumber has isolated and capped the water, we take out the suite and the fittings, take the tiles back to the wall if they are going, lift the floor covering, carry it all out and take it away, and the room is left swept. It is priced from £499, quoted in writing from photos or a visit, including taking every bit of it away. Cast iron baths are heavy, and we would rather know about one before the day than find it. The water is isolated and the pipes capped by your plumber before we start. We take out the suite once it is safe to. They come out, in one piece or in sections. Tell us when you send the photos so it is priced properly. Anything that can be used again goes to local charities and to people who are homeless, and what can be recycled is recycled.
