What it covers

A sofa is the single item people most often ring about, because it is the one thing in the house that will not go in the car, will not go in a bin and will not go down the stairs without two people and some swearing. It also costs more to get rid of than people expect, and there is a reason for that. Upholstered seating has to be kept out of general waste and sent for incineration, because the foam and the fabric can contain persistent organic pollutants, which is why some councils that collect sofas charge more for them than for other bulky items. Our price is off our own list: £100 for a three-seater, £75 for a two-seater, £45 for an armchair and £25 for a footstool, plus a call-out charge from £50 depending on where you are. We carry it out, down the stairs if that is where it is, and you pay when it has gone. If it has to come apart to get out of the room, dismantling is £35. Upstairs flats, narrow halls and tight turns are normal. If a sofa came in through a window, it can go out the same way, but most come out with the legs off. If there is more than a sofa, a load is usually cheaper than items one by one. Send a photo of the lot and we tell you which works out lower. Anything that can be used again goes to local charities and to people who are homeless, and what can be recycled is recycled.

I've used this service twice to collect bulky rubbish from my front garden and they've been fantastic both times. Very quick service, take very bulky items and very quick turnaround. Definitely recommend.

From the lovely lady who took our booking and who could not have been more helpful, to the team who came out to do the job. They were fast, efficient, polite and helpful and all areas were left clean and tidy. We would most definitely use Complete Waste Management again and from our experience, we would certainly recommend them. To the whole team, thank you!
