What it covers

Kitchen fitters fit kitchens. Most of them would rather not spend the first day of a job ripping out the old one, and the ones who do will often leave the carcasses, the worktops and the old cooker on your drive for somebody else to deal with. A kitchen strip out separates the two jobs. The old units come off the wall, the worktops and the sink come out, the appliances are disconnected by whoever is qualified to do it and then carried out, the wall tiles come off if they are going, and everything is loaded and taken away. The room is left swept, with the services capped by your plumber and electrician, ready for the fitter to start measuring. It is priced from £499, quoted in writing from photos or a visit, and the price includes taking all of it away. If the flooring is coming up as well, tell us at the start and it goes in the same price. Services are disconnected and capped by a qualified plumber, gas engineer or electrician before we start. We take out what is left once it is safe. The old cooker, the fridge and the washing machine go with the units, and the fridge is sent for proper treatment. Anything that can be used again goes to local charities and to people who are homeless, and what can be recycled is recycled.
