London's second largest industrial estate is in this borough

Enfield is not a commuter town with a few units on the edge. Enfield Council's own area action plan describes Brimsdown as the largest industrial area in North East Enfield and the second largest in London after Park Royal. It is not one thing either: large distribution and logistics units at Bilton Way and Bancroft Way in the north, small business units at Leeside Business Centre, newer units at Delta Industrial Park in the middle, and a run of smaller units to the south.

Around it the same plan names Freezywater and Innova Park to the north and Alma Road, Redburn Trading Estate, Meridian Business Park and Martinbridge Trading Estate to the south and west. That is a genuinely industrial borough, and it means a commercial clearance here is as likely to be a warehouse floor or a yard as an office suite. That is the only recycling centre in the borough, it already requires an appointment to enter by vehicle and a permit for a van, and it is closed on Mondays.

The bulky collection is a household service, free for six non-electrical items, and its not-collected list rules out building material, rubble, soil, glass panels, windows and patio doors anyway. None of it reaches a unit going back to shell.

So an Enfield strip-out leaves on a vehicle, is sorted, and anything recyclable comes out before the rest goes for disposal. You get the load size and the figure in writing first, with the £12.50 zone line already on it rather than appearing later.
