House Clearance in Enfield
Whole properties in Enfield emptied and taken away, from the cottages on Chase Side to the terraces and blocks towards the Lee Valley. Probates, moves and tenancies ending.

Free is not the same as enough
Enfield is unusual on our patch in that the council's bulky collection is actually free. Up to six non-electrical items, collected on a day your postcode decides, or £22 if you want to pick the day yourself. For somebody getting rid of a sofa and a wardrobe, that is a better deal than anywhere else we work and we will say so.
It stops being the answer at exactly the point a clearance starts. Six items is a bedroom. And the moment a fridge, a cooker or a washing machine is involved it leaves the free service entirely and becomes £54 for one item, £60 for two and £66 for three, capped at three, booked by half twelve on a Friday for the following week. A house with a kitchen in it is a second booking and a second bill before anybody has touched the loft.

- A photo tells us the load size straight away, so you get a real price instead of a range.
- You are not asked to guess whether it is a half load or a full one. That is our job.
- The price you are given is the price you pay, and it covers the labour and the disposal.
- It goes straight to us, not to a call centre, and we are the ones who come back to you.
What house clearance in Enfield takes in
What an Enfield clearance takes in that the free collection does not.
- Bereavement clearance. A probate at the family's pace, room by room, with the appliances in the same quote rather than as a separate £54 booking a week later.
- End of tenancy clearance. Between lets, back to bare floors, appliances included, which is exactly where the free collection stops.
- Hoarder clearance. Sorted rather than shovelled. Sorted, not shovelled. Papers, photographs and anything of value come out first and are handed to you.
- Shed clearance. Emptied and swept out. On the older Chase Side properties the store is often a lean-to at the side rather than a garden shed.
- Attic clearance. Cleared and carried down. In the cottages the hatch decides the day rather than the amount up there.
- Storage unit clearance. Run out completely and the keys returned, appliances and all. The free collection caps at six items and excludes anything with a plug, so a unit was never going down that route.
Free up to six items, then £54 for a single appliance
Enfield's free collection is a genuinely good service and it is worth using for what it covers. Six non-electrical items, out at the front edge of the property by 5.30am, collected Monday to Friday between 5.30am and 4pm, with £22 as the option if you need to choose the day.
Electricals are the cliff. They are excluded from the free service completely and priced separately at £54 for one, £60 for two and £66 for three, with three the maximum in a collection and a booking deadline of 12.30pm on Friday for the following week. So a kitchen with three appliances in it is £66 and a week's wait, on top of the furniture.
Barrowell Green is the borough's only recycling centre and it is closed on Mondays, open 8am to 4pm the rest of the week. An appointment is needed to enter by vehicle at all, and a van, trailer or pick-up needs a permit on top of the appointment. Every Enfield address is in the ULEZ, so our published £12.50 line applies and it sits on the written quote before you agree.

Questions we get asked about this
The council will do it free. Why would I pay you?
For six items you should use them, and we will tell you that on the phone. For a whole house, or anything with a plug on it, six items and £54 an appliance stops being the cheaper answer very quickly.
Can you take the fridge and the washing machine too?
Yes, in the same load and at no separate charge. That is the main practical difference between us and the free service here.
Does Enfield sit inside the ULEZ?
The whole borough is inside the zone, so the published £12.50 line applies. It is on the written quote before you agree to anything.
