Waste clearance in Southend

Southend's own recycling centre at Stock Road is the first thing most people think of, and for a carload of household rubbish it is fine. It stops being fine the moment the job gets bigger. It takes Southend-on-Sea residents only, with a current driving licence or this year's council tax bill to prove it, it is closed every Thursday, and Veolia's own page lists commercial type vehicles there on Sunday afternoons only. The bulky collection, also Veolia's, prices items one at a time and stops at five in a booking. So the jobs we get called to here are the ones that do not fit any of those rules: the garden that has been cut back after years, the side return full of plasterboard after a kitchen refit, the flat that has to be empty by Friday, and the business that is not allowed to use the tip at all. Veolia's bulky collection is priced per item with a ceiling of five, and the Stock Road site turns away asbestos and tyres along with anyone who cannot prove a Southend address. A shop, a landlord or a builder has to find another route. Ours is priced by the load off the list, from £99.99 for a Mini Load to £699.99 for a full Luton, including VAT, and we take trade and household waste alike.
