Sudbury's recycling centre is on Sandy Lane, off Bulmer Road at the top of Ballingdon Hill, and like every Suffolk site it is for household waste and runs on booked slots. The council option is Babergh's bulky collection, which is £72 for up to five items or ten bags, at a set price with no reductions, for households only, and the council says plainly that it does not offer a house clearance service. Between those two there is a gap, and it is the size of most of the jobs we are called to in Sudbury: a garden that has been left for a few years, the waste from a refit in one of the old town centre houses, a garage being cleared before a sale, or a landlord's let that needs emptying. We lift it from wherever it has ended up and take it in one trip, priced by the load from £99.99 including VAT. Babergh's collection is £72 for five items, households only, and it does not clear houses. The recycling centre is for your own booked trips. We take any amount, from inside or out, priced before we start.
