Rubbish removal in Stevenage is the same job
Rubbish removal, rubbish clearance and waste clearance describe the same thing: a pile that has to go. Same vehicle, same published price list, which is why there is one page for it here rather than three.
What waste clearance in Stevenage takes in
The jobs this covers on the New Town estates, and what each one runs into.
- Garage clearance. Taken back to a swept floor and bare walls. On the New Town estates a garage is often the single biggest part of the job, and Caxton Way is a short run from most of them.
- Garden clearance. Green waste, hedge cuttings and turf off gardens that were laid out with room in them.
- Builders waste clearance. Plasterboard, timber, packaging and rubble off a refit, loaded off a drive or a verge rather than barrowed through a house.

Stevenage has one of the easier tips to use in the county. Caxton Way, SG1 2DF, seven days a week, 10am to 5.30pm, and no slot to book: you register for a free ePass and a camera reads the plate on the way in.
What it will not take is the part that matters. Waste from a business, a charity or any other organisation is refused, a business address cannot hold an ePass at all, and DIY and home improvement waste is accepted in limited amounts only. That last one is what catches a refit.
So a garage clear-out is straightforward and a bathroom rip-out is not, even though both fit in the same van. That distinction is usually what decides whether somebody does it themselves or rings us.

Something has been dumped on our communal parking. Who deals with it?
On private land it falls to the landowner or the managing agent. We do the clearance and bill whoever is organising it.
Will the tip take my bathroom rip-out?
Only in limited amounts, and not at all if a tradesperson produced it. That is the usual reason a refit ends up needing a vehicle.
Do you charge more for a garage that is completely full?
It is priced on the load size, so a full garage costs what the load costs. Send a photograph of it open and you get a firm figure.
