Witham has its own county recycling centre, on Perry Road in the Freebournes industrial area, and Essex County Council's rules come with it. A van, a pick-up or a trailer with more than one axle needs a booked slot and is only accepted at the van-friendly sites, nothing of 3,500kg or over gets in, and it is household waste only, so the rubble your builder left is not yours to take. The bigger jobs end up with us: a garden on one of the older estates that has been let go, the patio slabs and soil from a new one, the bathroom that has just come out, the garage cleared before a house sale. We load from wherever it is and take it on one visit, priced by the load off our list, from £99.99 for a Mini Load including VAT, and paid for once it has gone. The county site wants a booking for a van and refuses trade waste. We take household and trade waste without either. The load is priced before anything goes on the vehicle.
