The commercial ground here sits east of the railway around Tewin Road and Mundells. Tewin Court is typical of it: terraces of light industrial and warehouse units around a central avenue, forecourt parking and shared rear yards, about a mile from the town centre and close to the A1(M) between junctions 5 and 6. Broadwater Road, Bridge Road East, Hyde Way and Shire Park make up the rest.
That layout is a gift for a strip out. Shared yards, forecourt space and roads built for lorries mean the vehicle gets to the door and the work is about the fit rather than the logistics. - Soft strip out. Taken back to shell, with partitions, grid, floor boxes and kitchens out. The Tewin Court units have forecourt parking and shared rear yards, which decides where the van stands.
- Renovation clearance. Taken out as the job runs, not after it, so a shared rear yard is not blocked for the neighbours.
- Outbuilding clearance and demolition. A derelict garage, store or outbuilding demolished and removed. Knocking it down and emptying it are two different jobs and two different prices.
- Construction site clearance and strip out. Site waste taken as the build goes, and a strip before it opens. Shared yards mean the timing matters as much as the load.
- Land clearing. Yards, access ways and plots cleared of dumping and overgrowth, then left flat enough to park on.
A business here cannot hold an ePass at all
The recycling centre on Tewin Road sits in the middle of the industrial area and is open seven days a week, and none of that helps a business. Hertfordshire County Council does not accept business waste at its recycling centres, and a registered business address cannot hold an ePass in the first place, so there is not even a gate to be turned away at.
Waste from businesses, charities and other organisations is excluded in the same sentence of the county council's own terms, which is worth knowing if you run a charity shop or a community building and assumed otherwise.
A commercial clearance from here goes to a transfer station. It is loaded, taken away and disposed of, and what can be recycled is recycled, with the load size and the figure in writing first.

No. The county council's terms exclude waste from businesses, charities and other organisations in the same line.

Both, and as one job. The fittings coming out and going away is the same quote rather than two.
