No rubble, no vans, and shut on Tuesdays
Mountnessing Recycling Centre is on Roman Road, effectively next door, and it is one of the most restricted sites in Essex. No DIY waste. No rubble. No bookings for vans, pick-ups or large trailers. Closed every Tuesday. Being close does not help if the load is the sort it refuses and the vehicle is the sort it will not let in.
The site also takes household waste only, like every Essex recycling centre, and that excludes anything a builder, a gardener or a fitter produced while working at your address, even though it came out of your house.
So for a rear-yard clear-out, a hedge or a bathroom, the route is a vehicle and a transfer station. Ours is priced off a published load list, the figure is in writing before we book you in, and there is no slot and no closed day to plan around.
