I've used this service twice to collect bulky rubbish from my front garden and they've been fantastic both times. Very quick service, take very bulky items and very quick turnaround. Definitely recommend.

Brentwood houses come with outbuildings, and that changes the job
Brentwood is a commuter town with thirteen conservation areas in the borough, and the spread between them is the whole story. The town centre is flats and terraces close in. Hutton Village, South Weald, Great Warley and Herongate are the other end of it entirely: detached houses on big plots with garages, outbuildings and long gardens behind them.

What a Brentwood clearance takes in once the garage and the shed are counted.
- Bereavement clearance. A probate at the family's pace, room by room, and out here that means the garage and the outbuildings as well as the house.
- End of tenancy clearance. When a let ends, taken back to bare floors. A good share of the older stock near the centre is done up and re-let rather than sold.
- Hoarder clearance. Sorted, not shovelled. Deeds, photographs and anything worth keeping are set aside for you before a single bag is filled.
- Shed clearance. Emptied and swept out. On the Hutton and Warley plots the shed is often a bigger job than a bedroom.
- Attic clearance. Cleared and carried down, and in the older houses near the centre the hatch decides how long that takes rather than the amount up there.
- Storage unit clearance. Brentwood Borough charges £25 for the first bulky item and £15 for each one after, which is the figure a unit full of furniture gets weighed against. We clear it and hand the keys back so the standing charge ends.
Brentwood does have a tip, and it still will not take a houseful
This is one of the few towns on our patch with a recycling centre inside it. Coxtie Green Road, CM14 5PN, is run by Essex County Council, it is open every day, and it is one of the Essex sites that will actually book in a van, a pick-up or a large trailer. So doing some of it yourself is a real option here in a way it is not in Ingatestone or Loughton.
What it is not is an answer to a whole property. Every visit needs its own booked slot unless you are on foot, on a bike or a Blue Badge holder, the site only takes limited DIY waste and only from your own household, and a three or four bedroom house with a garage behind it is not two carloads. It is a fortnight of booked slots.
The council will collect bulky items instead, at £25 for the first and £15 for each extra, with everything out and visible by 7.30am. That is the right answer for a sofa and two chairs. Note that electricals are not in that service at all, so a house with a cooker, a fridge and a washing machine in it needs a second arrangement on top.

No, it is one quote. Send a photo of each and the load size takes in all three.
Can you get on the drive?
Usually in Hutton, Warley and Shenfield, yes. Closer to the centre it is more often a carry out to the road, so say which you have got when you ring.
Should I take some to Coxtie Green Road myself first?
You can, and unlike most Essex sites it will book a van in. But you need a slot for every trip and it only takes household waste, so it is worth doing for a car boot and not worth doing for a houseful.
