An office town, and a borough of villages behind it
Brentwood works as an office town: professional offices along and behind the High Street, parades of shops with storage over them, and units on the edges. That mix means most commercial jobs here are a first or second floor suite, and the constraint is the stairs and the loading rather than the volume.
Behind the town sits the rest of the borough, and it is rural. Thirteen conservation areas take in South Weald, Herongate, Blackmore and Great Warley, and out that way a commercial clearance is as likely to be a redundant farm building or a yard as an office. Different problem: ground conditions and gateway width instead of a lift and a loading bay.

- A photo tells us the load size straight away, so you get a real price instead of a range.
- You are not asked to guess whether it is a half load or a full one. That is our job.
- The price you are given is the price you pay, and it covers the labour and the disposal.
- It goes straight to us, not to a call centre, and we are the ones who come back to you.
What office clearance in Brentwood takes in
Commercial work in Brentwood, from a High Street first floor to a barn.
- Soft strip out. Back to shell. Partitions down, ceiling grid out, floor boxes lifted, fitted kitchen away, slab swept. On a High Street first floor that is a stair carry, so we look before we price it.
- Renovation clearance. Cleared as the work goes rather than left to pile up, which on a suite with other tenants in the building is the difference between a job and a complaint.
- Outbuilding clearance and demolition. A derelict outbuilding or farm building dropped and carried off. Out towards Herongate and Blackmore this is a regular job rather than a rare one.
- Construction site clearance and strip out. Clearing a live site as the trades work, and stripping one out before they arrive.
- Land clearing. Plots, yards and gateway entrances cleared back and levelled enough to work off.
No council route at all for a Brentwood business
The position for a business here is simpler than for a household, and worse. Essex County Council recycling centres take household waste only, and business, trade and commercial waste is not accepted at any of them. Coxtie Green Road is two minutes away and it would turn you round at the barrier.
Nor does any council collection cover it. The bulky service is a household service. Brentwood Borough Council sells a business waste contract for bins and sacks, which is the right thing for a weekly bag of office rubbish and no use at all for a suite being emptied over two days.
The council also points out that since 31 March 2025 any business with ten or more full-time employees has to keep paper and card, plastic, glass, metals and food separate from non-recyclable waste. That is worth knowing before a strip-out rather than after, because it changes how the load leaves. We sort it and it goes to a transfer station, with the load size and the figure in writing first.

Questions we get asked about this
Can we put trade waste through the Coxtie Green Road tip?
No. Essex recycling centres take household waste only and business waste is refused at every one of them. It goes to a transfer station instead.
The office is on a first floor with no lift. Is that a problem?
It is a factor in the price rather than a problem. Tell us the floor and whether there is a rear door, and the quote reflects the real carry.
Do you clear barns and farm buildings out towards Blackmore?
Yes, regularly. Tell us what the access is like after rain, because that decides which vehicle comes rather than whether one does.
