There is a free route through the North London Waste Authority, but it collects in this borough on Fridays only, and the council warns that when the Friday slots inside the next four weeks are taken, no dates show on the form at all. That is a real constraint if you are working to a completion date.
The tip is South Access Road in Walthamstow, in through Argall Avenue, with a 1.75 metre height barrier, a 24-hour booking for any van, proof of borough residence at the gate and five van visits per household per year. It does not take trade waste. All of that is fine for a car boot and no use for a garage.

Yes, in the same load. The council charges those separately and caps them at three; we do not treat them as a different job.
Do you go out to Highams Park and Woodford Green?
Yes. Say the postcode on the phone; travelling to you is already inside the figure.
Would a skip be cheaper?
For a long job with room on the drive, occasionally. For a single clear-out it seldom does, because the hire runs for every day it stands there and the lifting is still yours to do.
