Waste Clearance in Epping
Household and trade waste lifted from Epping town and the villages ringing it. A single item or a full vehicle, with the figure settled first.

A town on the edge of a forest, and what that leaves behind
Epping sits with the forest on one side and open country on the other, and the waste follows the ground. Green waste is the biggest single category by a distance: hedges, brash, turf, cut-down trees and the fencing that comes down with them. After that it is the ordinary contents of an old outbuilding, and after that builders waste from a refit or an extension.
Every one of those is on the district's list of things it will not collect. Garden waste, soil and cut-down trees are excluded by name. So are building waste, carpet and underlay, worktops, fixtures, fittings, paint, liquids, glass, fence panels, sheds and greenhouses. And the nearest tip, at Waltham Abbey, refuses rubble and refuses vans. There is not much left in the middle.

- A photo tells us the load size straight away, so you get a real price instead of a range.
- You are not asked to guess whether it is a half load or a full one. That is our job.
- The price you are given is the price you pay, and it covers the labour and the disposal.
- It goes straight to us, not to a call centre, and we are the ones who come back to you.
Rubbish removal in Epping is this same job
Rubbish removal, rubbish clearance and waste clearance are three names for one thing here: a pile with no council route and no tip that will take it. One vehicle and one published list, so it earns one page rather than three.
What waste clearance in Epping takes in
The jobs this covers around Epping, weighted towards the forest side.
- Garage clearance. Front to back, to a swept floor and bare brick. It is also the one place the council's crews will not come, so it tends to be what is left.
- Garden clearance. Hedge cuttings, turf, brash and cut-down trees. On the forest side this is the biggest single category of work by some way.
- Builders waste clearance. Plasterboard, timber, worktops, fixtures and rubble off an extension or a refit. Excluded from the collection, refused at Waltham Abbey, so it has nowhere else to go.
- Fly-tip clearance. Waste dumped on a verge, a track or a forest layby. Rural fly-tipping needs a vehicle that can get onto soft ground, which is a different problem from a bag on a pavement.
- Wait and load service. Loaded there and then and taken away the same visit. On a High Street with a loading restriction that is often the only version that works.
- Hazardous waste clearance. Paint, liquids and chemical waste are all refused by the council's own service. Say what is in the outbuilding before the day and you get a straight answer on whether it can go.
- Warehouse clearance and rip out. Barns, stores and units emptied and ripped out, fittings included.
- Shop clearance and rip out. Shop fits stripped out along the High Street, ready for the keys to go back.
Waltham Abbey takes no rubble, no vans, and shuts two days a week
The nearest recycling centre to Epping is Waltham Abbey on Brooker Road. It does not accept DIY waste or rubble at all, it does not accept bookings for vans, pick-ups or large trailers, and it is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday. Those three rules together take most of a garden or a refit off the table before you have even set off.
The district's own collection is £34.80 for one to three items, £52.80 for four to seven and £69.60 for eight to ten, but its excluded list covers garden waste, soil, cut-down trees, building waste, carpet, worktops, fixtures, fittings, glass, fence panels, sheds and greenhouses. For this town that is nearly everything.
So the practical route is a vehicle and a transfer station. Ours is priced off a published load list, the figure is in writing before we book you in, and there is no slot, no closed day and no rule about what the vehicle looks like.

Questions we get asked about this
Can you take rubble and building waste?
Yes. Waltham Abbey will not and the council's collection excludes it, which is the most common reason people in Epping ring.
Can you get down a track or onto a field gateway?
Usually. Say what the ground does in the wet, because it changes which vehicle we send rather than whether we come.
How far beyond the town do you come?
Across the villages around Epping. Say the postcode on the phone; reaching you is already inside the figure you are quoted.
