Rubbish removal, rubbish clearance and waste clearance are three names for one thing here: a pile that the council will not take and the tip will not book in. One vehicle and one published price list, so this is one page and not three.

No rubble at Chigwell, no vans at Chigwell, and shut two days a week
Chigwell Recycling Centre on Luxborough Lane is the nearest Essex site to Loughton and it is one of the most restricted on the county's list. DIY waste and rubble are refused outright. Vans, pick-ups and large trailers cannot be booked in. And it is closed every Wednesday and Thursday, so there are five days a week in which to plan around the other two rules.
The council's special collection does not fill the gap either, because building waste, garden waste, carpet, worktops, fixtures, fittings, glass, fence panels and sheds are all excluded from it by name, and it will not collect from a garage regardless of what is in there.
That leaves a vehicle and a transfer station, which is what we are. The load sizes and prices are published, the figure is in writing before we book you in, and there is no gate fee or slot to work around at either end.

Can you take rubble?
Yes. Chigwell will not, which is the single most common reason people in Loughton ring us. A clean rubble load has its own published hardcore price.
The old shed has collapsed. Does that count as garden waste?

Would a skip be cheaper?
